![]() ![]() If you fail to capture or kill a fighter with a Bounty on them the Bounty Hunter charges you at the end of the battle and if you can't pay you lose Reputation. #Bounty hunters blood gang for freeBounty Hunters work for free but raise your rating by 400 points for the battle. If an opposing gang has a fighter with a Bounty on them participating in the battle and you don't have any Bounties on your gang members (at all), you can hire a Bounty Hunter at the end the Choose Crews step of the Pre-Battle Sequence. The way they work for us is, Bounties can be placed on fighters. We house ruled Hired Guns heavily, particularly Bounty Hunters. All in our opinion of course, reasonable minds may differ. We like Hangers-on, but Hive Scum are wonky to us, Bounty Hunters are problematic as written, and the named variations of both are ridiculously expensive. Yeah, in my group we have some major issues w/ the way Hired Guns are set up in the rules as written in general. And if you are afraid they will permanently increase your gang rating, nothing stops you from firing them whenever you want. As they stand, they act as a gold sink for gangs who earn more credits each game than they can manage to spend, making them more of a win-more mechanism and less of the blue shell star players are in Blood Bowl.īut hiring a new ganger can do this for you too. If you have enough creds, there is virtually no reason not to always hire one for the last battle of a turf war (or for a skirmish game), and hiring one at the start of turf war will always be bad move. It's pretty clear that the closer you are to the end of the turf war, the better Bounty Hunters are when compared to Gangers. Does not let you hire more Champions/Juves.Has a special rule that may give you some credits back once in a blue moon.Is hired in the pre-battle sequence, after you know who you are up against. ![]()
